Opening a file using the File List

Sometimes it is helpful to have several lists of files open at the same time.
These lists could point to different file paths and/or different file types.
To meet this need JMaker provides another File List besides the File View of the Alpha Frame.
File Lists are very compact to conserve view screen space.

To see a File List Window

Click on the File menu in an Edit Window
Click on File List to bring up a File List window.

Note: If the Alpha Frame is not visible it will also come up with the File List.

You can have as many File List windows open as you want.

The path in the File List window will match the path of the last File List or Alpha Frame File View path when they where closed.

The File List Window

The File List window functions the same as the File View of the Alpha Window's File View.

A path can be specified in the path field at the top. Press ENTER to update the view with the new path.

File types may be specified in the file type choice.

Files may be selected in the List. Double-click on a file to open it into a new Edit Window.

Select a file and then right-click to bring up a popup menu of choices.
